Emu is an ex Navy vessel that has been converted for residential use. She is going through a substantial refit. Emu has been stripped right back to a bare shell. The outside of the vessel has been primed, filled, primed again, the deck has been needle gunned, wire wheeled and primed, top coats and antifouled applied, new anodes, propeller polished, deck hatches removed and resealed, new window seals all round, new fairleads … just to name a few things. Inside the vessel has been primed & sprayed, new deck boards, fresh water tank installed, new watertight hatches, new HIAB installed, new generator … the list still goes on!
The vessel is now off the slip, but they’re still going! Next, on to the insulation, plumbing and fit a wood burning stove. Good luck Dave & Lucy!
